The Team

Angela Wiegman, M.Ed., BCBA — Owner

Angela Wiegman is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Master's degree in Exceptional Student Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of West Florida. With over a decade of experience working with children and teens of all abilities—including both neurodiverse and neurotypical populations—Angela brings passion, insight, and a deep commitment to helping each child reach their fullest potential.

As a mom of two boys herself, Angela understands the importance of blending professional expertise with compassion and real-life parenting perspective. Her leadership is rooted in collaboration, excellence, and the belief that every child deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated.

Dawn Leonard, M. BCBA

Dawn Leonard is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of West Florida. With over 40 years of experience supporting children and teens of all abilities—including both neurodiverse and neurotypical populations—Dawn brings unmatched expertise, warmth, and a deep sense of purpose to every family and professional she works with.

A proud mother of five and grandmother to eleven, Dawn’s approach is grounded in both personal experience and professional excellence. Her work spans homes, schools, and communities, where she’s helped countless children grow, thrive, and overcome behavioral challenges.

In addition to her clinical work, Dawn is passionate about equipping churches to better serve families of children with behavioral needs. After witnessing firsthand how behavioral challenges can prevent families from engaging in church life, and hearing from children’s ministry leaders unsure how to respond, Dawn felt called to be part of the solution. Through prayerful reflection and action, she developed behavior-change training tailored for parents, teachers, and ministry teams.

Her books, online courses, and live training sessions help reduce time spent managing behaviors—freeing up more time to connect with kids and share the love of Jesus. While she can't be in every classroom or children’s church, her resources are available 24/7 to empower anyone seeking to build joyful, inclusive ministry environments.

Dawn is also available for virtual and in-person consultations and team training for children’s ministries.

What is a Choice Navigator?

A Choice Navigator is an educational guide who supports families using the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA). We help you make informed decisions about your child’s learning by assisting with curriculum selection, creating personalized learning plans, exploring school and program options, and supporting your child’s unique educational and behavioral needs.

Whether meeting in-person or online, our goal is to partner with you to build a customized path that helps your child succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally.

What We Do:

  • Use Sensory Learning in Math and English: Engage your child with multi-sensory tools that make learning fun and effective.

  • Create Hands-On Activities: Build lessons that involve movement, creativity, and real-world application.

  • Support Behavioral Needs: Integrate strategies to help your child focus, manage emotions, and thrive in learning environments.

  • Provide Personalized Help: Tailor support based on your child’s strengths, needs, and learning style.

  • Partner with Parents: Offer guidance, encouragement, and resources to help you feel confident in your role.

Let’s work together to make learning meaningful and joyful for your child.

Types of ABA Therapists

What is a BCBA?

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a highly trained professional in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Think of them as the “clinical lead” or “doctor” of the ABA world. BCBAs hold a master’s degree in a related field, have completed thousands of supervised training hours, and have passed a rigorous board certification exam.

BCBAs are responsible for developing and overseeing individualized behavior intervention plans. They assess behavior, set treatment goals, and make data-driven decisions to guide your child’s progress. BCBAs also train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs) to ensure high-quality, consistent therapy for every child.

What is an RBT?

A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a certified paraprofessional in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Think of an RBT as the “nurse” of the ABA world—working directly with your child to implement the treatment plan developed by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) or BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst).

RBTs must complete specialized training, pass a certification exam, and receive ongoing supervision. While they provide hands-on support through structured teaching, play-based learning, and behavior strategies, they always work under the close guidance and direction of a supervising BCBA or BCaBA to ensure the highest quality care.
